Selection Procedure for PG Programmes

The selection procedure consists of following steps:

  1. Candidate should have appeared for the SNAP Test, conducted by SIU on December 21, 2008 (Visit www.snaptest.org for more details / Registration for test).
  2. In addition, the candidate MUST register at SICSR website www.symbiosiscomputers.com.
  3. The candidates who have registered for SICSR will be short-listed for GD/PI based on their Qualification, Experience and SNAP test score. The short-list will be put up on www.symbiosiscomputers.com on February 02, 2009. E-mail confirming your selection will be sent to the e-mail id provided at the time of registration.
  4. The candidate should take a print out of his/her admit card for GD/PI by using the user id and password, paste his/her photograph and sign on it. The admit card should be produced at the time of GD/PI
  5. GD/PI will be conducted on February 14-15 and 21-22, 2009 at SICSR, Pune. At the time of GD/PI candidates should submit following documents:
    1. Photocopy of SNAP registration document (payment advice) or admit card.
    2. Attested photocopies of SSC, HSC and graduation mark lists. In case you are appearing for your last year examination, kindly attach photocopies of all mark lists from first year to the last examination passed by you.
    3. An attested copy of the category certificate if applying for a category seat.
    4. Work experience certificate /appointment letter and copy of last salary slip.
    5. The first Merit list for admission to MBA (IT) and M. Sc. (CA) programmes will be declared on March 02, 2009, and will be displayed on the Institute's website. Selection letter should be downloaded from SICSR website. E- mail message confirming your selection will be sent to the e-mail id provided at the time of registration.
    6. The selected candidate is required to prove his/her eligibility to secure the admission and pay the fees as per the schedule; otherwise the seat will be given to next candidate in the merit list.
    7. The acceptance of fees by the Institute does not mean that the admission is confirmed, as all admissions are subject to fulfillment of eligibility criteria of SIU.
    The distribution of marks for the selection procedure will be as follows:
    1. SNAP Test: 90 Marks [SNAP Score of 180 divided by 2]
    2. Weightage for Qualifications (X, XII, Graduation): 20 Marks
    3. Weightage for Experience: 30 Marks
    4. Group Discussion: 30 Marks
    5. Personal Interview: 30 Marks
