Reservation of Seats (as a percentage of the Intake Capacity)

• SC: Scheduled Caste: (15% of intake capacity)



• ST: Scheduled Tribe: (7.5% of intake capacity)
  The reserved category candidates are required to attach attested copy of the caste certificate from the competent authority.



• D: Defence: (5% of intake capacity) Serving / Retired defense personnel and their children



• PH: Physically Handicapped: (3% of intake capacity)
  The seats reserved for handicapped personnel will be allotted as per the guidelines given in "Persons with Disabilities Act, 1995 (Sec 39)"



• M: Management Seats: (15% of intake capacity)
  
  
  Over and above intake capacity:
  


• K: Kashmiri Migrants (2 seats per programme over and above the intake capacity) Kashmiri Migrant students will be admitted only if they submit the certificate issued by the Relief Commissioner of Jammu & Kashmir state.
  
  Quota for International Students:
  


• F: International Students: (15% per programme over and above the intake capacity) Admission to the International students is as per the rules of SIU. All admissions to International students will be done through the International students cell. Please refer to the section “For International Students”.
