Biz Quiz 08 : 24th JANUARY 2008
On the 25th Jan, 2008, we celebrate the 1st anniversary of ARSH. To commemorate the occasion we organized a business quiz across the four departments of our college. 20 teams from various batches battled against each other to become the quest bearers on the top.
E week 2008 : 2nd-9th FEBUARY 2008
Event 1:
We laughed with Munnabhai,
We cried with Ishan,
We danced with Madhuri,
We relate all our emotions with movies.
We cherished our dream of being a future entrepreneur with some quality movies. We enjoyed some of the finest inspirational movies like October Sky, Syriana and many more.
Movie screening was held everyday from 2nd Feb to 6th Feb at SIFIL Auditorium from 6:00 pm to 8:30 pm.
Event 2:
Students tested there marketing skills, innovative abilities and blackened there grey matter through the “Rs. 50 game”. A team of 2 was to take up the challenge, they together explored the area of opportunities for one complete day.
Event 3:
Entrepreneurship is not all about money but also about the different ways of exploring your talent to make big bucks in the shortest span using your leadership skills and easier method. We gathered to hear the great social entrepreneur, Pradeep Lokhande, founder of Rural Relations talked about the numerous ways of becoming a successful entrepreneur.
INTERACTION : 28th JUNE 2008
NEN consultants Mr. Vinod Shastri and Ms. Yoshima had presided over the induction of the new joiners of Arsh. A brief presentation about NEN had the students hooked on to what is awaiting them in the near future with all those contacts to be made, all those amazing things to learn.
The students were amazed at what advantages can one have even from just doing a course on entrepreneurship. The students we told about the various events we have at Arsh including how much fun we have, how much money we made during the Rs.50 game, what all movies we watch to be inspired and instigated.
The students also got into a one-on-one interaction with the existing members to get to know each other and also their experiences.
NEW RECRUITMENTS : 4th JULY 2008
Came the new academic year, and it was time to hold new hands. We invited all the juniors to take a peek at what we are with an interactive workshop to make them aware of how the business world works.
Workshop Objective:
- To explore and experience entrepreneurial qualities.
- To understand mode of Arsh intiatives/activities.
- To strengthen E-cell membership.
- Familiarize the E-cell members with NEN, its resources and how access them and leverage them.
THE IDEA GENERATION WORKSHOP : 18th JULY 2008
The workshop was directed to the students to inculcate the habit of out-of-the-box thinking. New ideas were brought across the table during the generation process and then evaluated. The speaker for the event was Ms. Yoshima Somvanshi.
THE LOCKSTOCKS : 21st JULY 2008
We are one under NEN. If our neighbouring friends do something, we make sure we have to help them. Whether it is a discussion or a challenge, we are in tuff competition. We geared up for the competition before hand.
The LST Western Regional’s were to be held on 26th July, 2008 at SCMHRD, Hinjewadi.
The SICSR entries for the event were shortlisted through a college level elimination on 21st July, ‘08. Participants were asked to trade on MoneyBhai.com for the day and the person with the highest income is declared winner. The winners were sent to SCMHRD on the basis of the elimination results.
UDHYAM: The core of entrepreneurship : 22nd-27th SEPTEMBER 2008
Our goal is to reach to the top. Yes, we did. NEN ecell Arsh dared to go beyond and have a reach throughout the city. Yes it did, by organising the event UDHYAM

22nd September: Movie Screening
Movies give a motive to work towards achieving a dream one forms. It is the drive to go for the kill and expect no failures. The movie screened was “The first 20 million is always the hardest”. As the name itself says, it is the one to show the reality. -
23rd September: Paisa Builder Exercise (Rs 50 Game)
An outdoor activity to actually make you realise how you can sell what you have. Students provided with a note of Rs 50 with a bottle of water and told to work on the streets to see how you can actually multiply. Yet people thrived in huge numbers. 27 teams ran for the competition with the highest grosser of an amount of Rs 1120, just out of Rs 50! -
26th September: Entrepreneurs enclave (the panel discussion)
The panel discussion was arranged to go into the technicalities of actually becoming an entrepreneur. Entrepreneurs like Kedar Kanitkar, Mr. Rajyavardhan tater, Mr. Soham chordia talked about there rise followed by an interactive discussion on the topic : “Why are young minds shying away from entrepreneurship?” -
26th September: The great Indian Tamasha (The skit Competition)
Natak or tamasha is often used as a mode of expressing views and spread information about a matter. The great Indian tamasha was based on the theme ‘Qualities in an Entrepreneur’ and was witnessed by a crowd of more than 150 people with the quality representing Sinbad, the sailor taking away the winning trophy. -
27th September: Business mavens (The quiz)
Business mavens was a grinding experience testing the levels of challenge at 3 different levels with a quiz, mad ads, and a paper presentation being the final round. -
27th September: Rs 50 game decodified
The day spent in bright sunlight, the money earned? But what was the lesson learned? Rs 50 game de codified worked on the mark of understanding the flaws and mistakes the teams did during the Rs 50 game and were evaluated by a panel with marking them upon the amount earned as well as the presentation.
The e fest had a crowd pullover of more than 500 students from NEN E-cells all over the city and it was marked with a huge success and appreciation from the NEN team.
